TypeX MCP Overview

TypeX MCP lets you operate TypeX Desktop through the MCP protocol — send messages, manage groups, search conversations, upload and download files, set reminders, and more.

Get Started​

Complete setup in three steps:

  1. Prerequisites — Enable MCP in TypeX Desktop and confirm the local endpoint (http://127.0.0.1:52222/mcp/)
  2. Configure Agent MCP & Skill — Connect your AI tool (Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes, and more) via MCP JSON config and import the Skill file
  3. Explore capabilities — see What You Can Do and Examples

MCP provides tool access; the Skill file provides workflows, confirmation rules, and error handling. Both are required for a reliable experience.
